Knowledge is Key
to put it plainly Socrates pursuit of knowledge and truth of the world would eventually begin to question to legitimacy of the Athenian government and values and when Socrates began to speak to the youth of Athens about his ideas and his constant questioning of society, morality, region, or life it was only a matter of time until the youth would turn against the Athenian government and stop being loyal citizens due to them questioning the legitimacy of such government which is why the government accused Soctartes. of corrupting the youth since the corruption would have been one that destroyed the Athenian government's existence since someone out there would wonder if democracy was the right form of government. This is just my explanation behind Socrates's execution so I am not sure if this is what you are looking for.
