Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
-3/4 = -0.75
0.75-0.20 = 0.55 = distance between the two points
-3/4 = -15/20
-0.2 = -1/5 = 4/20
15/20 - 4/20 = 11/20 = distance between the two points
0.55 = 55/100 = 11/20
just 2 different ways of finding the distance. You can pretty much ignore the negative signs in finding the distance, unless you want to know the direction from one point to the other. Generally "distance" is the absolute value of the difference of 2 points on a number line.
