Question

A grading machine can grade 96 multiple choice tests in 2 minutes. Suppose a teacher has 300 multiple choice tests to grade.

 

Write a proportion that could be used to predict the number of minutes it will take the machine to grade the tests. Use x to represent the number of minutes.

x(t) = t/48 where t = number of tests

x(300) = 300/48 = 75/12 = 6 minutes & 15 seconds
