So, as in the previous problem, let each term equal zero individually to solve for the other variable.
3x + 6y = -24
Solve for x: 3 x = -24 Solve for y: 6 y = -24
Divide both sides of the equation by 3. Divide both sides by 6.
x = -8 y = -4
Be positive about this. Model other problems after these 2 examples. You can do it!
