In a standard form equation ax + by = c, -a/b is the slope and c/b is the y intercept.
First plot the y-intercept (0,c/b), then use the slope to get an additional point by moving from the y-intercept a downwards and b to the r
For example:
2x + y = 4
The slope here would be -2/1 and the .y-intercept would be 4.
You would first plot the y-intercept (0,4) then move 2 down and 1 to the right (1,2) to get the second point.
