If the area of the rectangle is 1/3 and the length is 1/2 what is the width?

Area of a Rectangle = Length * Width

1/3 = 1/2 * W

(1/3)/(1/2) = W

(1/3)*(2/1) = W. Instead of dividing by a fraction you multiply by the reciprocal

(2/3)= W

The width is 2/3
