a) f(4) = 16-8 = 8, g(f(4) = g(8) = 16+5 =21 if x=t
b) g(f(x)) = 2(x^2-2x)+5 = 2x^2-4x+5 = h(x)
c) f(g(t) = f(2t+5) = (2t+5)^2 -2(2t+5) = 4t^2 + 20t + 25 -4t -10 = 4t^2+16t +15 which doesn't equal g(f(x) even if t=x
d) f and g are not inverses. f(g) = g(f) only if the two functions are inverses of each other
