the discriminant is b^2-4ac = (5)^2 - 4(2)(-1) = 25 +8 = 33,
a positive, non-perfect square, so the equation shall have
2 real but irrational solutions containing square roots..
sqrt(33)= sqrt(3*11) cannot be reduced any further, so JUST LEAVE IT!
quadratic formula says: [-B +or- sqrt(discriminant)] / (2a)
solutions are [-5 +or- sqrt(33)]/4
