You can change the denominator by multiplying by (1-cos (u))/(1- cos(u))
This would give you 3 sin (u)(1-cos(u))/(1 -cos^2(u)) = 3 sin (u)(1-cos(u))/sin^2(u) =
3(1 -cos(u))/sin(u) = 3csc(u) - 3cot(u)
