Identify the slope and y intercept of the equations. (6)
y= -(6/7)x - 6
y= 4x + 5
2x + y= 4
The slope intercept form of the equation of a straight line is y = mx +b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept.
In the first two equations, the equations are already in the slope intercept form; so, for equation #1 the slope is -6/7 and the y intercept is -6. From this you should be able to find the slope and intercept for equation #2.
For the third equation, you need to rearrange the equation to put it in the slope intercept form. Doing this you get y = -2x +4. You should now be able to identify the slope and y intercept.
