2x + y+ 180
x=16+y/2
2x = 32 +y
2x = 180-y
subtract 2nd to last equation above from the last to get
0 = 148-2y
2y = 148
y= 148/2 = 74
2x = 32 + 74 = 106
x = 106/2 = 53
53+ 53 + 74 = 180
base angles are 53 and 53 degrees
