Hexoses are a class of six-carbon sugars. There are many types, including the commonly known glucose and fructose that is found in a lot of our food.
I cant draw in this box, but if you look up a picture of glucose structure, you can see that it has one CH2OH group, as opposed to fructose which has 2 of those groups.
