Hi Irlanda,
If you draw a line parallel to the x-axis through the point (3, -2) you would notice that all the points on the line have a y- coordinate of -2. Also, lines parallel to the x-axis have a slope of 0 .
Therefore, if you write the equation using slope-intercept, y = mx + b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept, the slope, m, is zero.
The equation of the line will then be: y = -2
