The college student who is looking for a data plan for her cell phone found a third option, which also offers a 2 gigabyte monthly allowance for data.

1. 0.7 means she went over her allowed monthly data limit by .7; or she used 2.7 Gigabytes that month.
2. To find C(.7); just pop x=.7 into the equation and solve for C
3. 50 = 30(x) + 5 and solve for x (just algebra)
4. 45/30 = x; so x = 1.5 Gigabyte, which represents the overage to the base allowance. Therefore, she could stay within her $50 monthly budget if she uses 3.5 (or less) Gigabytes
