How do I find slope of a line from a table?

can someone please(in detail) explain how to find the slope from a table. i thought i understood it but i do not.

Pick two points (x,y) from your table.

Your slope m will equal the following.

m= (y₂-y₁)/(x₂-x₁)

Lets say you pick the points (3,2) and (4,5)

then the slope m equals:

m=(5-2)/(4-3)

=3/1

which is just m=3
