I assume your number is 2-2isqrt(3) or a = 2, b= -2sqrt(3)
r is sqrt(a^2 + b^2)
theta = inv tan (b/a). because a is positive, the theta with be correct. You may have to add 2pi to your negative answer if theta is supposed to go from 0 to 2pi .
