slope intercept form of equatiion of line: y=mx+b
m is the slope of the line - rate of change of y for one unit change in x. the greater the magnitude of m the greater the slope. if m is positive the line is sloped upward. If m is negative then the line is sloped downward.
b is the y intercept, where is the y-coordinate where the line crosses the y-axis.
given m and b, you can plug in any value of x and get the corresponding y coordinate to plot other points on the line.
