If the line you are trying to form an equation for is parallel to y=4x-7, then we can assume that the slope is the same. Using the formula y=mx+b, where (m) is the slope, we already have our first piece. The slope of your line must be equal to 4.
The second part requires using the coordinate to determine the y-intercept or (b). The coordinate is (2,5) where x=2 and y=5. We would enter these values into the formula like so:
5=4(2) + b
Next, multiply 4 x 2
5=8 + b
subtract 8 from both sides to solve for b
-3 = b
Now we can rewrite the formula with our values for (m) and (b)
