The way I see it, you made a mistake in your line y-4=(2/3)(x+1) Add 4 to both sides to get y=(2/3)x +5, because the 2/3 has to be distributed to the x and the 1.  After simplifying that, you would get y=2/3x+14/3, which in standard form would be -2/3x+y=14/3, and if you remove the fractions, -2x+3y=14.
 
Am I making a mistake somewhere?

You and I both got the same answer, but yours is more proper in the standard form, as I left my x negative.
