in point slope form the line through the two points is

y-2 = -3(x-8)

which is equivalent to

y = -3x +26 which has y intercept = 26, not -3

maybe the problem was intended to say find a line parallel to the line through the 2 given points with y intercept = -3. then the answer would have been y=-3x-3
