It looks like you have a table of values for the function g(x):

4 7
6 9
The slope of g(x) is found by finding the change in g(x) divided by the change in x like this:
The slope of f(x) = 4 so f(x) has the greater slope.
So, the slope is the change in y/the change in x.
(7 - 5)/(4 - 2) = 2/2 = 1
