f(x) = y
f(1) = y= -6 x-y=7
f(2) =y=-4 x-y=6
f(3) =y=-2 x-y=5
f(4) =y= 0 x-y=4
as x increases by 1, the difference between x and y decreases by 1
as y increases by 2, x increases by 1
"rise over the run" is the slope = m = 2/1 = 2, the change in y divided by the change in x is the slope
use the point slope formula to get the equation of the line
use (4,0). it's simpler
y=2(x-4)
y = 2x -8
