We know that 4 consecutive even integers will have a pattern, thus lets set x = a number. In order to get the next consecutive even integer in the pattern, we must add 2. Therefore:
x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) + (x + 6) = -4
Simplifying, we get 4x + 12 = -4
Now lets solve for x to get our first term in the pattern:
4x + 12 = -4 (Subtract 12 to the other side)
4x = -16 (Divide by 4)
x = -4
We know that -4 is the first term in the pattern, so the next three consecutive even integers would be -2, 0, 2 so the answer is -4, -2, 0, 2
