If the area of the triangle is 430mm(2 squared) then the value of A in the equation A = 1/2*b*h is 430. The height is 20mm so h = 20. We then get the equation 430 = 1/2*b*20 which becomes 430 = 10*b. We want to find the value of b so we divide both sides of the equation by 10 which gives you b = 43. So the measure of the base is 43mm.
