Hello, Courtney,
f(-3) means a value of a function that has "-3" as it's input. The equation is defined as =x^2 - 2x, find: f(-3)=
When the questions asks for f(x) and you are given f(x ) = x^2 - 2x as the equation, just substitute -3 where x appears:
f(-3) = -3^2 - 2*(-3)
f(-3) = 9 + 6
x = 25
I hope this helps, Bob
