The equation of the line is given by y=Ax+B where A and B are constants to be found. Since we want the line to be perpendicular to the line y=6x+7, A needs to satisfy 6A=-1 which implies that A=-1/6. Since our line needs to pass through the point (5,2) we have that 2=(-1/6)5+B or in other words B=2+5/6=17/6. Hence, the equation of our line is y=(-1/6)x+17/6.
