in a 30 ounces solution, 40% is alcohol. if 30 ounces of water is added to the solution, what percent of the new solution is alcohol?

please i need help with this one^

Answer 1

Alcohol Content = .40* 30= 12 ounces

water Content  = 18 ounces

 

New solution   =  60 ounces

Alcohol content = 12 ounces

Water content   = 18 + 30 =48 ounces

% of alcohol = 12 out of 60= 20 %.
