Now we have to form an equation as per the condition in the problem,

Let us assume the no be x

sum of the same no and 10 will be written as x + 10

so next condition is twice the sum , can be written as 2*( x+ 10 )

so from the condition we can write the equation as, x= 2* ( x + 10 ) or 2x + 20 = x

now we will solve for x , x = 2x + 20

we can also write the equation as 2x + 20 = x

subtracting 20 from both sides,

2x + 20 - 20 = x - 20

2x = x- 20

subtracting x from both sides , 2x - x = -20

x = -20
