g(x) = (x-2)^2-3 g(x)=16

How do I find the values of x when g(x) = 16 in the equation above?

g(x)=16


16 = (x-2)2 -3 Replace g(x) with 16

19 = (x-2)2

sqrt( 19) = x-2

+- sqrt (19) = x-2

2+- sqrt (19) = x


2+ sqrt(19) = x and 2- sqrt(19)= x

Thank you! The only thing is, I think I need to find the x value when y is 16 and I think you gave the y value when x is 16.
