You could use the "unit" rate to determine who has the rate of delivery.
Let's determine the number of flyers each person can deliver in a minute.
Margie hands out 120 flyers in 2 hours. Two hours is equivalent to 120 minutes.
Margie's unit rate would be :
120 flyers ÷ 120 = 1 flyer
120 minutes ÷ 120 = 1 minute
Jaxon hands out 18 flyers in 15 minutes.
Jaxon's unit rate would be:
18 flyers ÷ 15 = 1.2 flyers
15 minutes ÷ 15 = 1 minute
Jaxon would have the faster unit rate because he can hand out 1.2 flyers in a minute and Margie can only hand out 1 flyer each minute.
