Hi Jesus,
I think your sum should be written like this f(x) = x2 + x3 , then what is f(4) ?.........(1)
Because I hope its not the coefficient of X , then you would write before X like 3x or 2x....
substituting the value 4 in x in the given function of x we get .. 42 + 43 = 16+ 64 = 80

By the way your question is typed, it's difficult to understand the format. Are the numbers in the problem exponents or coefficients? If it's an exponent, type it with a caret as follows:
x squared = x^2
If it's a coefficient, it goes before the number as follows
3x
