Let n= the number.
Adding 7 to n would be expressed as n+7.
We are asked to multiply the quantity by eight. Whenever they call something a quantity, that means they go together in parentheses. So n+ 7 is the quantity they are talking about. So we are going to put it in parentheses and then multiply by 8. So (n+7)*8. And lastly, it is typically written with the number out front so the answer would be 8(n+7)
