Multiplying by 4 everywhere (4 is a positive number and thus, it does not change the inequality) we may rewrite the inequality as x+24 <= 4x+24 which is the same as x <= 4x or equivalently, 0 <= 4x-x=3x. Hence, the inequality is satisfied if and only if x >= 0.
