A way to start this is to take the statement and make it an algebraic statement. Let M= man and G=girl
man is three times her age.
M= 3G Example if girl is 21 then 3(21) is 63
In 23 years he will be twice her age
M= 23 + 2G
Let M=M
now replace the M‘s
3G= 23+2G
G= 23
M=3(23)
