The table shows the height of each stack for the given number of flower pots.

Write a simplified algebraic expression to represent the height of a stack of n flower pots.

If the first term of an arithmetic sequence is x¹ and the common difference is d, then the n^th term of the sequence is given by:

xⁿ=x¹+d(n−1)

So by the information given to us in the question, we can see that the height of the stack of flowerpots increases by 6cm, so our common difference d = 6.

We can see from the table that x¹, or our first term in the sequence, is 28, so we can substitute in and answer the question:
