Great question - I know that in today's day and age, self-teaching is likely being incorporated more into students' education. Of course, aside from using a tutor on a platform like Wyzant, there are many good resources to learn from. A staple in many students' routines (for just about any topic you can think of) is Khan Academy. They have hundreds of videos and practice problems that can be worked through.
