Perhaps you need to elaborate on this one? who are you referring to when you say "our ancestors?" Are we talking about Central and Latin American history? The ancestors of people who live in Spain today? Jews living in Spain during the rein of Isabella?? Please elaborate. Probably a fairly open-ended question, but I I think of two major/sort of related ways this was done (See hints below):
- Think about how we blend our holidays traditions today!!! Here is a huge hint: notice how All-Saints Day is right after "The Day of the Dead?" (aka. our equivalent to Halloween). probably lots of correct answers here.
- Also, Not 100% certain, but every think about one key feature of Aztec Culture may blend well into the words of probably the most important part of the Catholic Mass. ( I never thought about this actually until your Turkish roommate decides to come along with you to Mass with you and asks to explain all this. She spoke excellent English, but still I have heard metaphors do not translate well in other languages.
Hope this helps, I you need help organizing your thoughts and/or a list of reputable, scholarly resources to assist, you let me know.
I know, you are probably thinking what is a Dietitian/Math specialist doing answering this question? I am a Dietitian, I am Catholic, I love history and I grew up in a family of social science/history teachers.
