First you should solve for y, note that the equation is of form y=mx+b.
2y=-2x-12
Divide both side of the equation by 2
2y/2 =-2x/2-12/2
Simplify all
y=-x-6
Note that for your equation m=-1 and b=-6

-6 is where the line intersects the y axis. Plot this first then use rise over run from that point on the y axis to get a second point. Draw a straight line connecting points to form the line.

So to graph this problem i know i would use rise over run which would be -1 over 1 but what would I use -6 for?09/01/20
