Using the equation y=mx+b how would you solve 2y=-2x-12?

So to graph this problem i know i would use rise over run which would be -1 over 1 but what would I use -6 for?

-6 is where the line intersects the y axis. Plot this first then use rise over run from that point on the y axis to get a second point. Draw a straight line connecting points to form the line.
