There is are two consecutive integers. The difference between the square of the larger integer and the square of the smaller integer is 25. Find the integers.

the two consecutive numbers are x and x+1

difference of their squares is (x+1)^2 - x^2 = 25

x^2 + 2x + 1 - x^2 = 25

2x + 1 = 25

2x = 24

x= 24/2 = 12

x+1 = 12+1 = 13

12+13= 25

13^2 - 12^2 = 25

169- 144 = 25
