In this problem, you have a sample size of 25 total sheep: 24 white sheep + 1 black sheep
That means that the ratio of black sheep to total sheep is 1 black

To determine the number of black sheep out of 1050 total, you can solve the following set of equivalent ratios:
1 black = x
25 total 1050 total
Multiply the numerator and denominator by 42:
1 * 42 = 42
25 * 42 1050
There will be 42 black sheep out of 1050 total.
