x*[(x+5)^(-1/2)] - sqrt(x+5)
SIMPLIFY:
x / [(x+5)^(1/2)] - sqrt(x+5)
x / sqrt(x+5) - sqrt(x+5)
x / sqrt(x+5) - (x+5) / sqrt(x+5)
(x - x - 5) / sqrt(x+5)
5 / sqrt(x+5)
If you want to rationalize the denominator:
[5*sqrt(x+5)] / (x+5)
