Let the "other side" of the rectangle be "x", then the "one side" is "x + 5"

If we increase the small side ("x") by 7 then it will be "x + 7" and if we double the longer side (x + 5) then that side will be 2(x + 5) or "2x + 10".

That makes the area of this new rectangle (x + 7)(2x + 10) or 2x² + 24x + 70
