Hello Nae,
The standard form for linear equations in two variables is Ax+By=C.
According to which, variables 'x' and 'y' both should be on the LHS of the equation whereas the constant should be on the RHS. This can be done by adding '8x' to both sides of the equation.
We will have: + 8x + y = + 8x - 8x + 5
8x + y = 5
