Area= length x width (A=lw)
130=A=lw
130= (w+3)(w)
130=w^2 +3w
0= w^2 +3w - 130
0=(w+13)(w-10)
w= -13 or +10
Since width cannot be negative, the width equals 10 and we know that length is equal to the width +3, so the length equals 13.
Lets double check, 10*13 = 130, and 13 is 3 more than 10. The width is 10.
