A great example of deviant innovation in TV is the show Good Girls! The premise of the plot is that three mothers in families facing financial struggles turn to secret lives of crime in order to bring in the money that they need to support their children. This includes money laundering, theft, and gang involvement. Although none of these activities are legal, and in fact the three women are constantly fighting not to be caught for their crimes, their moral reasoning for doing these things is based in the value of family.
A smaller, sillier example of this comes from the show Riverdale, in which a character Archie meets in jail says that he "dropped out in the 4th grade to run drugs" in an effort to support his grandmother. Take that as you will.
Hope this helped!
