"Simpler form" means that we need to get rid of the grouping symbols, so let's eliminate the parentheses by using distributive property and the Product Property for exponents. The expression now becomes -2k5 + 6k2 - 8k7 + 5k3. If we had any like terms, we would combine them, but since we don't, and since we don't have any negative exponents still in the expression, we have now simplified it.
