If the base is a semi-circle, that means it is half a circle. The area of a circle is pi*r2 (or 3.14*radius2). If the radius is 12, then plug this in for radius above. So 3.14(12)2 = 452.16 cm2. But if the base is a semi-circle, then divide 452.16 by 2.
So 452.16/2 = 226.08 cm2.
