A line passes through (5,-4), with slope - 6/5. Write equation of the line in: a) Slope-intercept Form, and b) Standard Form

y = (-6/5)x + b

-4 = (-6/5)(5) + b

-4 = -6 + b

b = 2

y = (-6/5)x + 2

(b)

Multiply through by 5 to get an integer x-coefficient.

5y = -6x + 10

6x + 5y = 10
