Hello Sufyan,
First put the information into a table.
t (days) 0 29 43
y cases 5984 14637 ?
The method to find an equation in y and t depends on how your teacher wants you to do it.
You could substitute the first two points into an exponential equation such as y = Cekt
This will enable you to find the values of C and k. Then write the equation for y and t with the numbers for C and k. After that you can substitute 43 in for t and solve for y.
It is also possible to get an exponential equation using a graphing calculator. It will not have e as the base.
YOn TI-83 or 84, you would press STAT and choose Edit. Type in the firs two points into the columns.
Then Press STAT and highlight Calc. Choose expreg and Enter and it will give you a formula.
After that, you can substitute 43 for x, and solve for y.
After you work out the answer, you may submit your exponential formula and the final answer, and an Expert can check them.
