Playground park shape of a rectangle, people are wearing a diagonal path through the playground from the gate in one corner to the opposite corner. One side of the park is 2 feet longer than the other side. If the diagonal path is 10 feet long, find the dimensions of the park. Find: width; length;

10² = L² + W² = (W + 2)² + W² = 2W² + 4W + 4

2W² + 4W + 4 = 100

2W² + 4W - 96 = 0

W² + 2W - 48 = 0

(W - 6)(W + 8) = 8

W = 6

L = W + 2 = 6 + 2 = 8
